BASE Carriers is a freight brokerage based in Wilmington, Delaware, with our own container yard in New Castle near the Port of Wilmington.
Our team has worked in Delaware Valley transportation since 2017, starting with mobile diesel fueling. We started trucking in 2020 and ran our own trucks out of Delaware. In January 2023 we turned the company into a brokerage so we could cover more freight with carriers we know, and we kept the yard.
Today most of our freight is reefer containers out of the Port of Wilmington: fresh produce headed to New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic. We moved 9,000+ loads since mid-2025, with 100+ carriers hauling for us in the last 90 days.
We built our own dispatch and tracking platform because the off-the-shelf tools could not keep up with port freight. It is how we keep every load's tracking link, in and out times and proof of delivery in one place.
